Bea Johnson is a French-born, USA based lady who created the zero waste movement a number of years ago in order to take some positive action for the sake of the environment. Today, Ms. Johnson is known globally for this movement and has a number of related books on the subject. She also travels the world and appears online at various conferences to promote her zero waste movement. Becoming zero waste in a home might seem unachievable to many busy households but Bea Johnson makes the point that even small efforts at change will help to make a difference. It’s crucial also to teach our children and young adults about the issues caused by ongoing mass amounts of waste to the environment. Education in schools also will help to make more environmentally friendly behaviors more normalized in today’s society.

Another thing to consider is the cost associated with waste disposal in households so any efforts to reduce the amount of waste your household outputs could help to lower your family’s running costs while also making small steps towards positively impacting the environment!
